OSHA cites Tesla $49,650 for three violations following worker electrocution death

OSHA issued three serious citations at maximum penalty ($16,550 each) after contract electrician Victor Joe Gomez Sr. was electrocuted while inspecting electrical panels at Austin Gigafactory in August 2024. Violations included failure to provide PPE, failure to advise employees on energized circuit locations, and allowing inspection of equipment that was not de-energized.
